As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Your primary responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating illnesses, conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and educating patients on preventive healthcare measures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and imaging studies
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans for patients
- Provide education to patients
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Requisitos - Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
- Proficiency in medical coding (ICD-10) and billing practices
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding is a plus
- Familiarity with health coaching principles and techniques
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems and regulations
- Experience in cardiac catheterization procedures is desirable
- Familiarity with family planning services is a plus
- Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) is beneficial
